Project Description – This Architectural-Engineering Design project involved the TGE team working together with local firm Architects Laguana(AL) on a large, multidisciplinary Guam Economic Development Authority(GEDA) project.The work included Survey, Engineering Design, and construction support services for exterior utility infrastructure elements, including sitework, power, water, sewer, storm drainage, and other ancillary utilities.

Project Description – TGE was contracted by Core Tech International(CTI) to provide monthly Inspection and Report services during CTI’s construction of their multi-storey Summer Green housing project, 7-building Summer Homes project, 50-acre multi-building Summer Town Estates senior’s housing project, and Summer Town Estates Commercial Center, respectively.Services provided included review of project reference documents, including drawings, specifications, construction budget and construction schedule; monthly walk-through inspections of the project sites; completion status review; schedule status review; and submission of monthly reports with photographs on progress and pending issues.

Port Authority of Guam(PAG) – Guam Commercial Port Improvement Program, Facility Expansion (2013)
Project Type – Waterfront Facilities; Civil Engineering; Design; Survey
Project Description – TGE was part of the Design team for the PAG Facility Expansion project and provided Land Survey and Civil Engineering services. The site is located at the Port Authority of Guam in Piti.Civil engineering design services were provided for site grading, drainage, paving, and striping of the new container yard, new terminal gate complex runway, break bulk expansion and gate, new employee and trouble truck parking, crane shop, and equipment wash rack facility. Other design services include the design of ten (10) oil water separator vaults, a new outfall, perimeter security walls, and stormwater ponding basins. The overall project expansion area is approximately 15 acres and was constructed for $50M.

Project Description – TGE was part of the Design-Build team for the NAVFAC Sierra Wharf and Victor Wharf projects, and served as the design team lead, surveyors, and civil engineers on both projects.Project elements included topographic survey, Above and Underwater Structural Survey, Mooring Hardware Inspection and Load Testing, pavement reconstruction. Furthermore, the project included utility systems repairs and upgrades covering water, sewer, compressed air, steam, electrical, telecommunications, and cathodic protection.

DPW – Route 1/Route 11 Rehabilitation & Truck Enforcement Screening Station(TESS) (2011)

Project Description – TG Engineers, PC (TGE) was the prime design consultant of the Design-Build team for the $15M Route 11, Route 1 to PAG and Truck Enforcement Screening Station (TESS) project. The purpose of this project was to improve Route 11 to make it capable of handling additional truck traffic stemming from the expected increase in the movement of cargo and construction materials from the Port of Guam.The site – approximately 2 miles in length – is located at the Port Authority of Guam in Piti. Civil engineering design services were provided for road improvements for pavement strengthening, stormwater management and erosion control, underground power duct bank, Navy communication duct bank and vaults, striping, signing, guardrail, traffic control, and a TESS. The TESS includes a control building, sewer and water services, weigh in motion scale, static scale, and parking area.

NRG Solar Energy – Phase I & II (2015)

Project Description – Sunora initially contracted the TGE Team to provide Structural and Electrical Engineering support for the 25.65 MW NRG Dandan Solar Farm project.
TGE was responsible for providing all Electrical and Structural Engineering Design services for the 25.65-MW solar plant itself, and was later retained by Sunora in Phase II of the project to provide Survey and Construction Management services during the installation of the transmission line connecting the Dandan Substation in Malojloj to the existing 34.5 kV bus at the nearby Talofofo substation.NRG Solar Energy – Phase I & II (2015) -
GWA – Route 2 Agat Sewer Line Rehabilitation and Replacement (Ongoing)

Project Description – TGE was contracted by the Guam Waterworks Authority(GWA) to perform Construction Management and Inspection services for the Route 2 Agat War in the Pacific National Park Sewer Line Rehabilitation and Replacement Project.As part of GWA’s plan to rehabilitate the sewer system in the village of Agat, the goal of the project was to repair partially collapsed sewer lines, reduce inflow and infiltration contribution to the sewer system, and to improve the aging sewage infrastructure.

Aggreko – GPA Temporary Power – Phase 1 & 2 (2016)
Project Type – Power Structures; Design; Inspection; Permitting; Construction Support
Project Description – TGE was contracted by Aggreko to provide Design, Permitting, and Construction Support services for the Aggreko temporary power facility adjacent to the Yigo Power Plant. Aggreko was, in turn, contracted with the Guam Power Authority(GPA) to provide them with power from the facility.This original intent of this Design-Build project was to construct a temporary power facility utilizing 39 portable, self-contained generators. The facility contains 10 20,000-liter fuel storage tanks, fuel pumps, a control station, transformer areas, and the aforementioned 1MW portable generators. In Phase 2, the original 1-year contract was extended for 4 additional years, rendering it necessary to retrofit the facility with an emissions upgrade, which TGE provided the same services for.

GWA Tumon Hotspots
Project Type – Sewer and Wastewater; Civil Engineering; Design; Construction Support
Project Description – TGE was contracted by the Guam Waterworks Authority(GWA) to provide Civil Engineering and Design services for a sewer pipeline rehabilitation and replacement effort along Route 14, Pale San Vitores, in Tumon, where Fat, Oil, and Grease(FOG) buildup was reducing available flow area and greatly increasing the risk of surcharge and overflow.The work performed consisted of cleaning sewer pipelines, identifying deficiencies, evaluating alternative solutions, developing engineering design documents, and providing bidding and construction support services for the rehabilitation.

GIAA Runway 6L/24R Concrete Pavement Repair (2016)

Project Description – TGE was contracted by the Antonio B. Won Pat Guam International Airport Authority (GIAA) to conduct a site review and study of various deterioration issues in the concrete areas of GIAA Runway 6L/24R.TGE was also tasked with evaluating alternatives for a Design-Bid-Build project involving immediate repairs to the runway, including full depth and partial depth concrete repairs, spall repairs, repair and sealing of cracks, joint repairs, and other work.

Tiyan Parkway – Phase I (2015)

Project Description – The Phase I portion of the Tiyan Parkway project involved the construction of a new arterial parkway approximately 2.7 miles from Route 8 across Cars Plus to the existing Sunset Boulevard to replace the previous Central Avenue roadway, and to accommodate improvements to the Guam International Airport runway.TGE provided full Construction Management services to include field inspection and observation, quality assurance monitoring, coordination, documentation, and reporting from Pre-Construction to Closeout to Post-Construction.

DPW Bile-Pigua Bridge Replacement Project (2017)
Project Type – Road and Bridge; Construction Management
Project Description – TG Engineers provided the full scope of Construction Management services to the Guam Department of Public Works(DPW) for the Bile and Pigua Bridge Replacement project in Merizo.This project was unique, with the project having been previously started and stopped with a separate contractor before TGE’s completion of the project. The bridges were constructed with an increased span to widen the existing river opening at the bridges, and included river embankment upgrades upstream and downstream. In addition, road approaches to the bridges were reconstructed and widened to include asphalt concrete pavement approach ramps, paved shoulders, and installation of warning and traffic regulatory signage to direct traffic through the limits of the project site.
